At SCHRITT, we craft footwear that transcends trends and seasons. Each shoe is a testament to Swiss precision engineering: designed to last decades, not seasons. We produce dress shoes, casual wear, and performance footwear, each category bound by the same commitment to excellence. Our products are not manufactured; they are engineered, refined, and perfected through meticulous attention to every detail, from the first sketch to the final stitch.
Our process begins with pattern-making that honors traditional Swiss techniques while incorporating modern engineering. Each shoe requires over 200 individual operations, performed by master craftspeople with decades of experience. We employ Goodyear welting for durability, hand-lasting for precision fit, and hand-finishing for character. Every component is tested for performance and longevity. Our workshop maintains a temperature and humidity-controlled environment to ensure optimal conditions during the crafting process.
We source only the finest materials from certified tanneries in Italy, France, and Switzerland. Our leathers are full-grain calfskin, selected for uniform fiber structure and natural character. Cork footbeds mold to the wearer over time, creating a custom fit. Steel shanks provide arch support that maintains shape through decades of wear. Thread is linen, waxed by hand for durability. Even our laces are woven from premium materials and finished with metal aglets machined from brass.
Each pair of shoes passes through the hands of twelve master craftsmen, undergoing 200+ individual steps over the course of eight hours.

We source our leather exclusively from European tanneries with centuries of expertise. Each hide undergoes vegetable tanning, a process that takes months but creates leather with unparalleled character and longevity.
From the Tuscany hills to the workshops of Annonay, we maintain direct relationships with tanners who share our commitment to traditional methods and sustainable practices.
Vegetable-tanned leather develops a rich patina over time. Your shoes will look distinctly different after one year, five years, ten years. Each stage is beautiful in its own right.
